The Butler Chain of Lakes is only a tiny part of Central Florida's 2,500 lakes which cover a total of 4,000 square miles!
Lake Butler is the largest lake of the chain covering 1,665 acres and Lake Isleworth (where our tours begin) is the smallest at just 10 acres.
The lakes have a speed limit of 36 mph and are patrolled by the Local Sheriffs Department to ensure safety.
The lakes can be as deep as 40 feet and as shallow as just 1 foot in places.
Bird Island is situated in Lake Butler and is off limits to the public. It is owned by the Audubon Society and is a Bird Sanctuary. It is home to many species of bird including Osprey's and Bald Eagle's.
The lakes are surrounded by multi-million dollar homes of the rich and famous. Your captain will point out the homes of interest during your tour. To respect owners privacy, our boat will maintain a distance of 50 yards from residences.
